Well.... I'd have to say that if you were spitting on anyone's food simply because of their race or ethnicity it is prejudice. In the case of Jesse Jackson, he probably was in an era where Black people where still oppressed (as they still are.) Such actions were most likely a form of passive resistance, simply because nothing else could be done to directly confront racist America.
