Oswald was probably part of the conspiracy, but I don't think he was the actual killer. There are pictures of "Badge Man" on the Grassy Knoll which were taken at the time, and when it was computer-enhanced, you can definitely see that the person is dressed as a policeman, and the whitish mark that partially obscures the face is a puff of smoke coming from a rifle. Also, witnesses saw a chip on the sidewalk of the bridge which was fresh, but it was replaced with a new slab the very next day. It may very well have been caused by a stray bullet. If that were the case, that's more bullets than Oswald could possibly gotten off. Finally, it was not mentioned at the time, but Johnson and the head of the FBI were in town at the time, even though the president and vice-president were not supposed to be together for security reasons. They were at a party together, and a waitress who served them came forward as a witness. Who would have better connections than Johnson to get something done in Texas?

those can be two wildly seperate questions that said Yes to Lee Harvey Oswald but doubt he was part of a Conspiracy, or at least he didn't know. But I will throw the dice and say that there were likely conspiracies awhirl - - - did you ever read 'Murder on the Orient Express?' I'll agree with Vincent Bugliosi's new book that Lee Harvey Oswald pulled the trigger and that no sane Intelligence agency would hire Oswald to carry out a complicated mission.
BUT - - - sh+t happens, look at the Two Thosand Election. Some people hover in the shadows seizing opportunity. Imagine this scenario, I'll even cast it for you, a weary CIA operative, hollow eyed, unshaven, William Macy, not happy with an assignment, has been reluctantly running ideas through his head IF the operation is a Go. Throw of the Dice. John F Kennedy DID not have to go to Dallas. Sh+t happens. But word comes down to CIA operative, he's always believed n the uncomplicated straight forward approach. He knows that from a grassy roll he can get off several shots from a pistol/revolver at optimum range, he is confident. The Motorcade sweeps into view.
BLAMM - - - what the Heck SOMEONE else is shooting at the President, at this point a revolver might account for a 'third' shot, but it might have been an 'oh ****' shot, leaving the actual crime of killing to Lee Harvey Oswald but then again if one buys into all of the bullet theories. Then our imaginary CIA operative got in one shot before getting clean away.
Otherwise no - - - except on a tangent, Jack Ruby killing Lee Harvey Oswald is still a bit odd. But then stranger things have happened but still - - - killing Oswald may have silence other ugly details.
Peace...

I wish I could remember the name of the Doctor in Dallas who saw both JFK and Oswald.
He wrote a book. In it, he described the head wounds of JFK and showed them. His brains were hanging out the back, just behind the right ear!!! He was shot from in front!!! He then compared the pic the government showed after the autopsy at Walter Reed- no crap out the back and damage showed to front.
In the History Channels week long program of this event, they chronicled Oswald as if he were the shooter. The elevators were not operational that day- go figure. After shooting, he had to run down the stairs within a minute to be seen out side the cafeteria, I think 2nd floor. HHHMMM, he wasn't breathless!
When Oswald was killed by Ruby, there was only one door in the entire precinct that was unlocked. You got it!!! The one Ruby came out of to shoot Oswald.
Johnson had ties to the MOB. He used strong arm and other more violent means to get and keep his power. I will firmly believe that Johnson had something to do with JFK's death.
Oswald was set up.

The CIA, FBI, Mafia and LBJ were supposedly in this "conspiracy. An historian said if there was a plot to kill JFK, they never would have picked an unstable loser like Oswald to do the hit. They would have chosen someone within their own ranks who would be guaranteed to keep his mouth shut and not run away from the scene and kill an innocent cop, JD Tippet. Oswald acted alone.

Conspiracy. The powers that be wanted the war in Vietnam, JFK did not. Oswald was the perfect "patsy". He was a communist sympathiser and outspoken about it. I think more questions maybe answered if we knew who asked Ruby to kill Oswald????
