The US is not a christian nation. The government cannot endorse or promote one religious belief over another. Plenty of christians are also homosexual and not all christians believe it is a sin.

Where does it say in the Bible that homosexuality is against the law? I was always under the impression conservative Christianity held it to be a moral sin against God - why would you then try to impose your ideas of morality on other people, regardless of whether America is a Christian nation or not? Is not the fundamental creed "love the sinner, hate the sin?" How can you love the sinner if you a) judge them (Matthew 7:1-2) and b) put them in jail?
What right do you have a Christian to harrass certain deomgraphics you don't agree with?

What I would like to know is how you can make the way a person feels illegal? How would you enforce this law? What punishment would you give? This question is extremely uninformed and ignorant, especially because it is posted in the LGBT area. Do you want to be ridiculed? As far as I knew, America is a secular nation and there are laws regarding the separation of church and state. Religious based nations are governed by their beliefs and laws are based on religion. In America, laws are based on the protection of our basic HUMAN rights (the right to life), and our AMERICAN rights(the rights to liberty, and the pursuit of happiness) Together they make up the foundation of this country. How can people pursue happiness if they can not love whom they wish, weather it is a member of the same sex, or the opposite, or even both? There is not such thing as christian rights, except for those which are afforded to everyone, regardless of race, religion, or sexual preference.

"Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion...." -- from the First Amendment
America may have a lot of Christians in it, but it is not a Christian Nation in the way that, say, Saudi Arabia is a Muslim Nation. The USA is a secular nation which, at least in theory, tolerates all religions.
Your "Christian Rights" in this matter include the right to refrain from homosexual acts. No one's trying to force you to do them, and if someone does, that's what the laws against rape are for.

Since America is a secular nation, and not a "christian nation" (separation of church and state), no it should not be against the law.

I understand your question and your logic is flawed. The United States is based on the Christian faith the founding fathers put in place a methodology to allow for the separation of Church and State. Just so that the thing that you are talking about will not happen. They need to be separate and have their own levels of 'governing'.
Now I have a question for you. What are your Christian Rights?

You know that is the type of thing that keeps people from wanting to be a christian, i myself being one. IF you are a christian then you should know that a sin is a sin "all sin and fall short of the glory of God" Who are you to judge a homosexual? Have you drank alcohol have you not lusted? have you not sinned? Let he who is without sin cast the first stone.... Im a sinner your a sinner, there has only been one who lived without sin. Your sins are no different than homosexuality in the eyes of God. We all deserve hell, But the lord Jesus came down as the ultimate sacrifice and died for your sins my sins and for homosexuals too. They arent some plague of the country that should just be disposed of. They deserve God just as much as you do, and believe it or not he loves them just the same. i pray that God fills your heart with love for everyone including homosexuals

Well, sodomy is against the law in many states, but as a free country we don't legislate against people's being.
In other words, certain behaviors may be legislated against, but there are not laws to prosecute you for being a religious fanatic, an alcoholic, or a blue-eyed blonde, only for the actions that might ensue from same.

Whe did American become a 'Christian Nation'??
As for your 'Christian Rights', I say that your rights are denied to see what it's like to be discriminated against.
