Yes, if you comply with the state's or countries health regulations and get permission from the right bodies (municipality or county office). The thing you need to be in mind that burial and burning your loved ones, is a way of saying goodbye. It is our(humans) way of closure and moving on. Mentally, I would think, keeping a body of your love one, will refrain you from making peace that the person is dead.

It is illegal. To mummify it you would have to be a scientific researcher and they would of had to sign a release of giving there body to research. And you certainly wouldn't do it in you house. I you can't afford burial the city or county will cremate it for you but you would have to pay to bury the ashes.

There is some law about improper disposal of a body. So, it is more than likely illegal.
I'm scared to ask why you are asking this question, lmao.
---------------
Legal regulation
Many jurisdictions have enacted regulations relating to the disposal of human bodies. Although it may be entirely legal to bury a deceased family member, the law may restrict the locations in which this activity is allowed, in some cases expressly limiting burials to property controlled by specific, licensed institutions. Furthermore, in many places, failure to properly dispose of a body is a crime. In some places, it is also a crime to fail to report a death, and to report the disposition of the body.

Depends on where you live, but it is considered highly unethical and I might add very strange behaviour. The few cases I know about where this has happened, brought about a great deal of focus on the mental capacity of the ones that did so.

It depends. If it's a spouse, then you're expected to stay loyal, and that can't happen with them buried. Plus, you can just hide it in the dryer. Nobody checks in there for corpses.
