It means that society values some entertainers higher than some other professionals. What is the right salary? It is what ever someone is willing to pay for what you do. Salaries are decided by the free market, not the content of the work. It is neither good nor bad. It just is, and generally works pretty well.

It is the system. They get a share of the profits, it just goes to show how much profit there is in sports entertainment. I went down to the vet and they charge me 400 bucks to clip my dogs nails and prescribe him some anti-biotics. What's the difference?
