I don't think there's enough foreign workers in the UK, the foreigners are excellent workers and show the British up as a lazy bunch of gits.
More Poles please sir

I think I am happy living in Britain!! I am not sure if all the problems we have are government based. Perhaps we as a society have changed and should be more altruistic. I feel the decline of the family structure has made young people feel abandoned and without direction. They then seek comfort in forming gangs and confuse right and wrong. Youngsters seem to have a hard time these days, trying to keep up with an ever faster changing world.......... Media influence plays a big part in young peoples lives and as we all know , not all soaps portrait a balanced life style. Lets hope this is only a phase and we will go full circle and have a more tactful, respectful and courteous population of youngsters.

The government should start listening to its people and at the same time, soceity should help the government instead of moaning all the time when something goes wrong.

This 'PC' business is hampering the progress of the country. It's the soceity gone mad! It rather frightening how far down political correctness has gone. Common sense seemed to have left the country! I wonder if the soceity knows that other countries are laughing at them because of this?? How they are taking advantage?

1. Immigration Policy.
Why don't the government use point system? It works for Australia and Canada. Then help the legal immigrants to integrate by helping them help themselves.
Stop offenders from coming in and using the laws here (which allows them) to escape justice. There must be some control to safeguard the country.

2. Benefits.
Put a cap on it. First, benefits should be for British citizens only, regardless of race. Don't just hand out all the benefits left, right and centre. This only encourages immigrants to come in and also benefit theft within its own soceity because it's just so easy. There are more lazy and irresponsible people who expect the government to be liable for everything in their lives. Is this the type of soceity UK wants to breed?

3. Taxes & Housing
It's hard enough to save money. Stop trying to find ways to take it away. What is this anway? A game of "Let's find a way to make sure people work for free in the UK?". Are government officials affected by tax laws?
If the government can build more houses, build more houses. Hopefully it'll bring down house prices a little to make it more affordable.

The government and soceity should just stop talking about problems and start doing something about it. What is this country afraid of? Start rebuilding this country with common sense, else England will not be England anymore. Stop this country from sliding into a wealthy 3rd world country. Remember, you reap what you sow.

No I left!

Like many high skilled people and entrepreneurs I find the UK the most tight fisted, unenthusiastic country in the world in regard to its own development. All the government is interested in is higher taxes and crippling all hopes of any new business. I come from Southampton and all you see is plenty of places in the city centre empty that were and could be shops etc... Why? too damn expensive you would be taxed to death before you even opened.

I now live in China where like many countries including US, Canada, EU, Japan etc... They have economic development zones to encourage entrepreneurs. As a result I'm successful and on my 5th business. Here you are offered cheap office places, industrial units and 2 years no tax! Quite different don't you think?

I'm part of the brain drain lot from the UK and quite frankly I"m not surprised, the EU, US and China offer much more. Thats why UK is going down and other nations are going up. Not noticed Germany has overtaken you recently UK? Blame Blair because I do. What berko!

never been happy living here loved it better in germany You see the people generally dont give a toss over here and expect everythng for free. People are ungrateful, unwilling and uncooperative when it comes to making things better but there quick to start moaning about how the government does nothing. A country cant change if its people wont. It takes a collective effort the government can only do what people want them to do thats why this government do what they will because no one cares. Record numbers of britons are moving abroad what does that tell you?

No

The UK has just changed into an Islamic African Eastern European conglomerate with not one word of consultation with the UK people , some UK people actually encourage this.If they took the trouble to ask it would be found that:

1 British are not racist

2 Having said that it is asking too much for us to fill the UK with the world's least successful people in millions. (See the link below by a SIR ANDREW GREEN , who I think reflects UK opinion)

Amazing phenomena abound which show the tolerance of the decent UK people, for example foreign immigrants usually Indian people call themselves "British" on arrival at the UK airport . Others question if there even such a thing as British nationality while at the same time adopting the label "British " for themselves.

My hope is that the opinion of :

Sir Andrew Green former British Ambassador to Saudi Arabia and Syria.becomes official UK policy.

Sir Andrew's opinion is in the link below:

I am happy living in Britain, its not perfect but we have so much here that we take for granted that others dont..To become happier I would like to see less crime and violence in general. The government listens to an extent but its up to us to change things and also to pay for what we need.

The breakdown of "the family" with its inbred loyalty, respect, duty and values has been the demise of this country. Morals and behaviour are at an all-time low and until these fundamental issues are addressed things will only get worse.
The causes of antisocial behaviour begin at home and it is the parents of these trouble -makers who should be punished.
Its not just Political Correctness that is also a problem but also (lets call it) Social Correctness...the sofly, softly approach to crime and delinquency....bad behaviour is no longer "BAD" it has to be given a medical term and regarded as a medical condition......Social Services and Fostering agencies insist that it is wrong to call a child "naughty" or "bad".

Teachers cannot enforce discipline and the police seen unable to keep anti-social behaviour off our streets...after all, they are not bad or naughty children are they...so lets just let them do what they want to do and excuse it by giving their behaviour a medical term !!

We might as well all give up now because without major changes in people's / Government's attitude we are headed for a complete breakdown of social values.

No i'm no longer. Rights to privateness is thoroughly out the window. You cant scratch your a**e without cam looking at you. each and every pass you're making, each and every transaction you do, is logged someplace. you're able to properly be traced by you're telephone how many borough borders you have crossed in an afternoon, no longer to show a digicam of a few variety clocking you. Yeah, they are asserting that it varieties out the criminals from something, yet something who pass approximately their harmless lives are greater in threat from corruption of the gadget than everybody else. Ever watched Enemy of the State. which would be each and every enjoyed ones finally. are you able to think of, somebody looking at you from a administration room at the same time as you're getting down with your husband. like the streetcam i observed dealing with a mattress room window in Highbury, whilst it is going to have been dealing with the line. I relax my case!!!!

No I am not happy. End immigration now and secure our borders. Bring political correctness under control, I want freedom of speech in my own country. Get rid of 50% of the CCTV and speed cameras as I do not want to live in a Surveillance society. All foreign terrorsts to be deported immediately and all terrorists with British passports to be interred indefinately. Huge fines to be implemented for any businesses using illegal immigrants as labour. I could go on, but what is the point? This government is weak and it will take some more atrocities and riots to get them to do anything...

No I can't stand this country and what the idiots in government are doing to our Isle, I have fought for this government and for all our hard work and dedication what do they do cut 10'000 people from the Air force and boy did they keep that quiet until many of us tried to sign back on.. The best that can be done with this country is to stamp it shut, let no one else in but get rid of all the scum that the government has let in since the Berlin wall came down. Stop paying them all that handout money so they can keep their kids who don't even live in this country !!! They only come here for monetary handouts that's why our taxes keep going up and THEY ( government ) keep thinking of new ways to rape the working man and woman of their hard earned cash. Or is it just me ???
