I remember seeing him in the 2001 Little League world series and remember thinking he looked a whole lot older than 12. As it turns out he was a 14 year old that overpowered all the 12 year old kids. The only other thing I remember reading about him is that he married a 30+ year old woman when he was 18. It's hard enough making the big leagues when you have everything going for you and it seems to me there are a lot of issues involving this guy that could hold him back. Good luck to him if he can persevere and make it some day.

Statistically when we as the public see a little league pitcher on TV making it to the world series or the semifinals, the pitcher we are watching does not make the Majors.
I think its caused by the stress of the innings on the body
However he was 2 years older the shoulder and arm had 2 more years to develop so he has a better chance than say, Constantino (Lincoln RI).

Why not if he can play well.
He was very good as a child even though there were some issues with his age and eligibility. He was very good then. Hope he has a chance to do well in the majors one day

Isn't he TOO old to play?
