By constant worship, and by being unattached to maya.
Once you attain moksha, you are in the realm of perpetual happiness.

Friend,
There are three things 1. swargam 2.Moksham
and 3.Kaivalyam.
As Indian scriptures declare ,and elders say , if a person does Punya (virtuous deeds, helping others, etc) he attains or gets eligibility to enter Swraga (Heaven). The same person might have done the Papa karyams ( the opposite of Punyam or sins) .
His stay in swargam is limited to the quantity of Punya he did. After he enjoys in Heaven , appropriate period as per his punaya, he is again thrown out to be born on earth according to his Karma (the deeds he did in his lives)
The scripture says'' after the punyam account become zero,he goes back to earth to take birth again (marthya Lokam).
The next is Moksha: The person who by virtue of his deeds is entitled to enter moksha lives there ,without fear of rebirth and in he divine presence of the Lord.
Kaivalyam is simply merging into HIM.There is nothing after that .
That is why Sri Potana, the Telugu poet who translated Bhagavatam from Sanskrit into telugu, says in the beginning , that he is thinking, contemplating and doing the translation (which he feels as a worship or keertan or bhajan) and declares he is doing so to reach KAIVALYAM (Sri Kaivalya padambu cheyrytaku nai chintinchedan.............).
The English readers ( those who are not conversant with Indian scriptures ,please forgive me.If you are interested you can take a look at those beautiful scriptures.I am an orthodax brahmin, but I did 3 years diploma course in Bible course through correspondence, read quran and have muslim friends to explain it.) There is nothing wrong in knowing about other religions. But I strongly recommend that follow your own faith and path you like.

Moksha can be defined in a new way too, the state when you fulfill all your expectations ,the highest and widest, from your own self...when you feel that you have achieved the zenith of your own maximaum capacities, fulfillment of whatever maximaum one could have become in a field, nothing more could be got, need not be achieved is the state of Moksha. You have fulfilled your predestined role fully, reached the pinnacle of your growth and capacities...THEN you leave..or better help others achieve their state of this Purna idam..fulfillment..live for others..nothing more or less..

Whether you are interested in Moksha, Liberation, Freedom, Transformation, you name it, you are interested in happiness without one moment of unhappiness, pleasure without pain, it is the same thing"
We don't want to be free from fear. All that we want to do is to play games with it and talk about freeing ourselves from fear.
There is no self, there is no I, there is no spirit, there is no soul, and there is no mind. That knocks off the whole list, and you have no way of finding out what you are left with. You may very well ask me the question, "Why do you go on telling people about the way you are functioning?" It is only to emphasize that we have been for centuries using some instrument, that is, thinking or mind, or whatever you want to call it, to free ourselves from the whole of what you call the 'I' or the 'self', and all kinds of things. That is what the whole quest of spirit is all about. But once it dawns on you that there is nothing to be free from, then these questions don't arise at all. How that dawned on me, I have no way of finding out for myself

You ask... how one can attain moksha (salvation)! You also state... if achieved what next? Do you ever realize your statements... are they correct or not? In the cosmic domain for a human being to reach the level of moksha, God Almighty ordained an earthly journey of 12.1 million years. And you ask... what next? If obtaining moksha was that simple... every human being would have reached the stage of moksha by now!
In the last about 150 years only two persons amongst 6500 million people on Mother Earth reached the level of moksha... and you state... what next? They were Sri Ramakrishna Paramhansa and Maharishi Ramana. Moksha means becoming a Mahavira, Gautama Buddha, Jesus Christ or Prophet Mohammed in our lifetime. Moksha is reaching the cosmic end of life... the 8.4 million manifestation! After achieving moksha it is a direct journey to the kingdom of God (aka Baikuntha in Hinduism)... a point of no return!
Moksha can only be obtained by one who has already gained enlightenment (kaivalya jnana). After obtaining moksha... our soul atman liberates forever from the cycle of birth and death and regains its pure pristine original form! Obtaining moksha was the ultimate crux of life. It was the reason why our soul atman manifested a cycle of 8.4 million manifestations (an earthly journey of 96.4 million years).
The initial 7.3 manifestations are spent in the form of insect life, plant life and animal life. The balance 1.1 million manifestations are in the human form alone. Never underestimate the value of gaining moksha. In the present Kali Yuga phase of life... it is real difficult to obtain moksha as wanton desires and greed for materialistic riches dominate our life. Still, it is not unachievable!
In the present times when people feel it is difficult even to reach the level of Swami Vivekananda who never gained enlightenment in his lifetime... reaching the level of Sri Ramakrishna Paramhansa is still more difficult. Talking of becoming a Mahavira, Gautama Buddha, Jesus Christ or Prophet Mohammed seems to be out of question... and you state what next?
