Safest payment on ebay is through paypal and it is very safe

HI. I have an eBay store and I purchase on eBay, I accept paypal, money orders, personal checks, cash, money grams and western union,. I pay with paypal or money orders, All of these forms of payments are safe to an extent, If you pay with paypal and you dont' receive what you paid for you can file a claim to get your money back, If you pay any of the other ways you can file a claim through eBay I personally do not send personal checks and I really don't like to accept them. The reason is I don't want just anyone knowing my personal information. When I accept personal checks I am at risk of the check bouncing. Money orders are ok but no guarantee if you will get money back if it is lost or your item isn't received. I have accepted a Moneygram. They are a hassle. the person who receives the money gram has to prover who they are and sign some forms. I gather that is the proof for the person who sent the moneygram. I don't recommend sending cash. There is no way to prove that it was sent. All the seller has to say is they never received it.

it depends the on the methods of payment that the sellers accept.
most common is Paypal and by cheque, usually if you pay by cheque the seller will post the items to you when the payment has cleared and this usually takes 5 - 7 days.
If you use Paypal it is secure, as you need your login details to Paypal and then transfer the funds.
Also you need to set up an account with Paypal and they will have to verify your debit or credit card and address.

good luck

ebay uses paypal and its as safe as you will get
do not use western union or any other methods like these
you have no come back at all with them, at least with paypal you have a degree of protection but not 100%
feedback is usually a good indication, if they have lots and are 99-100% they are genuine traders who dont want anything negative said to harm their reputation

The easiest way is with PayPal. It's free to set up and I haven't had any problems with it. It's instantaneous (but you then have to send the funds to your real bank which takes up to a week) and hassle-free.

You can also pay by cheque/postal order etc.

Paypal is the safest way to pay, as you can do a charge back should you not receive your goods.

i use paypal. you can sign up on paypal.com and use your checking account or a credit or debit card. it's completely safe...don't get rooked using a personal check with someone you don't know, that's not a good idea at all.
