Well, Doctadave, if YOU were smart you wouldn't have asked this particular question, but since you did, here's my answer. Not any ONE country has cornered the market on intelligence or classiness, but overall, America has a high rate for education of the people as a whole. As an American, I can say that I have a masters degree, my husband is an instrument tech, my son is a computer tech, my daughter is a teacher, and my youngest daughter is in college. Education is an important issue in our home. Each family is different, though. Hopefully, you will encourage education in yours, too.

No I don`t think so. even though you have clearly found a few that are with your question. America certainly makes a good job of brainwashing it`s citizens with right wing propoganda and many tag along with it like sheep. However there are plenty of Americans who turn away in despair at the activities of the Administration. Try reading something by Noam Chomsky if you want to see just how smart the Americans can be.

Well, I think a lot of Americans act stupid, whether or not they are is another question. People are just so busy with everything, multitasking etc., they just make rash decisions sometimes without thinking things through. Then they go back and try to fix them. Then you have radicals pushing people in to things too. We as Americans need to slow down and use our minds. If we don't stop and change things, in several years we are going to "dumb down" our society.
This is my opinion solely! Nobody has to agree with it!

Too long in a coma could cause any race to loose perception of reality.
Look what happened to Greeks… they gave so much cultural light to the world but they forgot to store some for later ‘dark’ days.
Americans spend so many years dreaming the American dream but they forgot to wake-up!!!

actually no...we just put that front on and let the lower dregs of society get to the forefront to show others that americans must be stupid so we can get the best in deals with others...if they thought we were as intelligent as we are it would be difficult to get those deals and pull off the stuff we do world wide :)

Some of us are, for helping third world Countries like your probably living in, giving you free food and aide. We've never received aide or help from other Countries in our time of need. You see we've always dropped everything and run to your aide when you've needed it. Floods, Earthquakes, dictators and help in quelling domestic disturbances. Yes, I've been there, I lost my home many years ago because I had to go to your aid and couldn't work to make the payments so...I guess you could call me "stupid" but, I saw you holding out your arms in need and went to your aid.

I and my five cousins went to the aide of an Asian Country many years ago and we lost many things at home here, we were spit on when we got home, we were called baby killers, that is those of us who came home. We left many of our friends buried in your country and other third world countries like yours, so I guess we're stupid, like you say.
We should have left you to your own devices and fallen to the side of the road, like other Countries would have but, our stupidity, our hearts went out to you and we went in a helped you out so, you could look at us like you are now and call us "stupid" that's gratitude.
