If you just started the pill yesterday you aren't protected until you have taken it for a full month. You need to use condoms or some other type of protection until you are on your second month of the pill!! Also if you miss more than one pill in a month it is a good idea to use some backup protection as well. The more pills you miss/ or are late taking the more at risk you are.

I would recommend always using a condom if you are not in a monogamous relationship... the pill does not protect you from STD's, and they are UGLY! So please protect yourself from infection and unwanted pregnancy :o) Your body will thank you when it's not full of funk!
Please also DO talk to your nurse or Doctor about this for specifics, as they are trained professionals.

you should always use another form of birth control for the first month of taking the pill, just to be safe, i would use a second form of birth control for the first two to three months to let your body adjust, it may seem like over kill but you can never be too careful.

You should be ok but you can also check with your pharmacist about this as well if you can't get a hold of the nurse again this week.
