the best advice really is personal choice, but, i would certainly advise Dell everytime, i have bought 3 systems from Dell for various members of my family, i am not going to say that they have all been trouble free as i have had 1 or 2 small problems, but the Dell support is second to none, they are just brilliant no matter what the problem. go with the best you can afford, the large memory is the best way forward. good luck.

The best for your money is which ever one has the most rebate.

In the Sunday ads there's alway a decent dual core system for $500'ish.

Check out these websites for their Sunday ads:
Office Max
Office Depot
Circuit City
Best Buy
