dual layer disks should come up as dvd-rw in my computer, however if you right click the drives icon and select properties it should indicate the full 9.4gb that a dual layer disk holds
different optical drives have different drivers and configurations so were some may come up in my computer as dvdrw/dl(dual layer)then some wont
normally by default, dual layer disks will only appear when the appropriate media is inserted
i hope this helps
good luck mate
