If you want to delete all the entries you need to clear your browser's history.

In Firefox:
1. Go to Tools --> Options
2. In the top panel of the dialog box that appears, click on Privacy
3. In the History tab, click the button that says "Clear Browsing History Now"
4. "OK" your way out.

In IE:
1. Go to Tools --> Internet Options
2. In the General tab, hit the button that says, "Clear History"
3. "OK" your way out

You cannot delete individual entries. You must leave all or clear all.

Hope this helps.

If you don't need any of the addresses visited before, then just go to settings and clear history.
But if you need to delete certain addresses only from the bar then select that address (with cursor, just hover don't click or with up/down arrow) and press 'Delete' key. That address will be removed from the history.
