My mom used to make deep fried bread dough, covered in sugar. Oh that was good! And not in oil either but in the real stuff in lard.
Two others were Apple Fritters ohhhhhhhhhh yeah!
also Corn Fritters, wow those were some good snacks!

I like fried soft-shelled crabs and calamaris. And fried chicken, too. I like anything fried in batter but not with breadcrumbs.
Oh, and fried bananas and yam cutlets. Heavenly.
