We've tried various detergents, one of which seems to have spread the stain out a bit. But nothing has shifted it. By the way it's red and the shirt id pale blue.

the hairspray thing works because it has methyl alcohol in it. my husband's pure white kung fu gi got washed with a blue pen. i immediately put the clothes on cold water, not drying first because that may set the stain. we went to the store and got some engine coolant from automotive. look for the kind with methyl alcohol. we got a whole bunch and soaked the whole thing in it, worked like a dream, and much cheaper than hairspray. ATTENTION if you try this, do not breathe the fumes, it can make you go blind. cover your face, stand back, and do it outside!!!!! methyl alcohol is very dangerous.

I swear by Ace Bleach - Put a little straight onto the stain.
You can also use it in a dosing ball straight in your machine with whites and straight on collars & cuffs on white shirts.

This question doesn't need a long answer.
You just have to put oil(baby oil, cooking oil) on it, then powder, and scratch it. Wash the shirt after that. There!
