Is it illegal to post links to a site to pirate (download) movies fromon your myspace?

I have friends on my myspace that are asking me about different forms of media that I know of. It is on a site to download torrents and pirate the media (**Not saying that I do this, I just know of the site**). I know its illegal to download the media, but is it also illeagal to post a link to the media in question?

I'm not sure if there are enough pirate movies to classify that as a separate genre. Maybe with the success of Disney's trilogy, that will change. I think most download sites offer pirate movies as well as other types of movies.

Do you really believe that there is such a thing as a "private" email??

The provider stores all messages for a period of time, and can look at them if they want, and you would never even know it.

It is in Australia, as you are promoting an illegal activity. I would assume it is everywhere else. If it is on MySpace, you should be able to report the user and MySpace should be able to deal with it accordingly. They tend to be very harsh on this, and may report the user to authoritites.
