Enter number 1. or C:

I take it your pressed R for repair after booting the CD

After choosing C: it should come to a command prompt

At the prompt TYPE: fixmbr and press enter, answer yes

Next at command propmt TYPE: fixboot and press enter, answer yes

When done TYPE: exit and press enter. The computer will shutdown and reboot. Don't go back in to the CD to boot, let it continue to boot itself.

These commands are only used if your windows refuses to boot up or boot into windows. Your question wasn't specific as to a problem you were having.

Sounds like you accidentally installed XP twice. Start over.

Go to:

and look it up on the Sidebar.

TIP: Windows repair rarely works.

What you do depends on the type of repair you are trying to do. What is the problem you are trying to fix?

It's pretty hard to repair broken windows, you usually just have to buy a new pane of glass. But be careful with your fingers and try to wear protective gloves or you'll get a nasty cut! And use that invisible tape, not the transparent kind, it'll show.
