It is if you believe it is, believe whatever you need to believe in order to keep yourself going on a positive life track. It may seem ingenuine just because it is something that is shocking to digest and absorb and there are a million movies out there telling you god knows what about death. It doesn't feel genuine because you aren't dealing with your normal feelings or your normal self. You will get back to your normal state of life and realize whatever feelings of love you were feeling before your wife's death are the feelings you need to remember, not the death ones...don't be ashamed of how you feel.

Yes -- feelings are always genuine. You feel what you feel.
I think, however, that you're really asking whether there is an afterlife. This is a more complicated question, because none of us know the answer. My advice is to take comfort in knowing that when you die, you will be with your wife -- whether in Heaven or oblivion.

I think the more interesting situation is that you remarry and then you and your new wife die together in an accident. Are you then an adulterer and polygamist and get sent to Hell? If you don't get sent to Hell and get sent to Heaven instead, what is the status of marriage there? I've never heard a satisfactory answer to this simple kind of question from Christians. I hate to answer a question with a question, but do you have any insight here?

I myself believe in a universal consciousness. This is an entirely abstract idea that I came up with on my own.
What this means is that you and your wife will be as one. You two are no longer what you were because she has passed on. Every single living thing on earth came from the same gooey matter. Believe in god if you like, really it's irrelevant to this theory. If we all were at one point the same, if all of us were as one, I believe we will once again become one. Not only in a physical form, but a conscious form. Your wife will know you, and you will know your wife. Your wife will be you and you will be your wife. Not only will you two be as one, but every conscious being will be as one. There will be no sense of intrusion or ill intent, because there will be understanding. Understanding on a level currently non existent.
I'm writing a long winded paper on this philosophical theory of mine. I don't know if I'll ever finish it, but I hope this compact version helps you to understand and be at peace with her departure.
You two will never meet again, but you will become one and be at peace.

If you really , genuinely and wholeheartedly loved that person , your wife, and many times you felt a sense of love , continuing even after she is gone. most decidedly you will will come across her again. You will not be the same "you" and she will not be the same "she" but both of you will be entangled again in living , giving joy to each other. Proof?
I donot know.

Your feeling may be genuine, but indicates either wishful thinking or being scared s.h.i.t...... latter is more likely in majority of the cases.

There is no need of discussion on that. It is totally unknown. Any amount of discussion is not going to give any thing at the end.

thoughts and memories die with us. relationships are fantasies.
we think we are related to a person. but in fact we are not. it is only our thoughts that make that relationship. so ur feelings are not genuine.
