They were on the air for 9 seasons. The thing that was so amazing about their run (read about this when it happened) is that at the time that Jerry Seinfeld decided that it was time for it to end the show was still on top of the ratings. He did not let it continue on so that there could be the possible chances of it losing status in the ratings.

9 seasons, although the first season was only 4 or 5 episodes. Also, to add to the note about Seinfeld going out on top of the ratings. NBC reportedly offered Jerry 110 million to do a 10th season. For all you math geeks out there, that is 5 million an episode. He really wanted to go out on top and not watch the series go downhill.

It was about nothing... And that can go on forever! How lucky we were to be involved in such a funny, amusing
comedy compared to the - - - - that's on TV today. It's what you remember that tops the little cake. WOWEEE!
