TUESDAY JUNE 5TH 9PM BBC 1

A slim hope but hope is all the McCanns have left. It is not about money, publicity, visiting the Pope, aircraft trips, the academic qualifications and careers of the couple or anything else, this is about a lost child, period.

All decent people will have sympathy with this family in their time of desperate need and will admire their brave fight to keep this tragedy in the public eye.

Constance I am not implying that those who question the McCann's behaviour are not decent, I am stating openly and directly that those who accuse the McCanns are worse than not decent, they are mentally ill with envy. I say this because they speak without proof of any sort and they should put their "opinion "to the Police or shut up

Anyone who has mentioned money, publicity, visiting the Pope, aircraft trips, the academic qualifications and careers of the couple are sickos in my opinion, no excuses like "we want to help Madeline but" will work with me. In my opinion the only acceptable criticism is neglect and the McCanns will in fact agree with those themselves. Get a life envy brigade .What you say in cowardly fashion here in Yahoo Answers would put you in court for liable if said bravely in public. Legal action could follow and I hope it does

The "Neglect " I mention is in fact very low level indeed considering they were checking the children every few minutes

Totally agree with you. We all hope that it will help & if it doesn't, then at least it was tried. A parent will try every single option available. How can any one give up? I do hope criminals watch it too & mend their ways.....

Cant help asking, but which version are we going to get?
Probably the parents story, with No mention that the children were actually left alone for three hours, not just that night, but every night.
We will get the usual "checking every 30 minutes" nonsense.

Wasn't the witness supposed to have seen the suspect at 9.30pm ish? Isn't that when Gerry or Kate or a friend (whichever version) was supposed to have checked the kids?
I really don't see what difference this will make, surely everyone knows about the disappearance of Madeleine by now, if not where have they been? Mars?
As for the issue of Money and celebrity lifestyle, where the Mcann's are concerned it is still very relevant I'm afraid.
Please stop implying that those who question the Mcann's behaviour are Not Decent, we Are Decent, that's WHY we question.

Still Hoping that Madeleine will be found Safe.

It would probably help more if it was actually seen by the Portuguese people rather than the British. I certainly haven't seen anything that would possibly help seeing as I live a very long way from where Maddy was actually abducted. The only people who would possibly know something are those who were in Portugal at the time and I doubt crime watch will gain much of a valid response on this one. Worth a try but a waste of time if you ask me.

Well Crimewatch is only shown in Britain, and seeing as all british people know about the McCann case already, I cant see how it will help much.

But its another stab in the dark isn't it? Which is what this investigation has been about right from the start. No-one actually KNOWS anything do they? Its all speculation and guesswork.

totally agree this family must be going through hell and people act jealous of them so what somebody was kind enough to lend them a jet to make things easier for them would you swap a child for a loan of somebodys jet or some pictures in the paper ?no way !
yes i can cannot condone leaving three small children but its time to get past it at the end of the day they are paying for making a bad decision in the worst way i can imagine
i think in some cases it is inverse snobbery like people resent the fact that people with money and careers shouldnt get public help or support

i dont know if crimewatch will help madeleine but like every other crime of this nature it deserves its chance
praying for the family and for madeleines safe return xx

I think a different approach needs to be taken and more physical action like walking the streets of the city she was abducted and asking people on a personal level. I already said in in another question I have posted and this man agrees.

Piltdown Man yes this is a bad loss of a child but don't you think the parents should start seeing it that way and not as a publicity stunt? because that's all they are seeing, there is other children in the world going missing not just Maddie.
I have 2 children of my own so i know what i would be going through and i hope they get her back safe and sound, and like someone said before crime watch is mainly for the UK so the only way that is going to be good is if shes in the UK, but then we all know what she looks like by now we don't need to see how she went missing

Listen, I don't agree that the McCanns were right to leave the children home alone & I certainly don't agree with how things have "looked" since Maddy went missing.

I have to point out here that something hasn't been ringing right concerning the parents right from the start.....it doesn't however mean that they've done something to her......I think that maybe the guilt of having left them alone & the outcome of that is causing this couple to act in an almost defensive manner toward the public......not correct, but understandable I guess.

Whatever the reason for their behaviour, it's putting people's backs up & making them feel suspicious of the McCanns......the general public are picking up on something, they just don't know what it is, that's why there are so many questions concerning this case.....to suggest that having a lack of sympathy for the parents of Maddy makes people non decent is totally out of order......the concern here isn't for Kate or Gerry, it's for Maddy.....

Decent people everywhere will be wanting for Maddy to be found alive & for her to get back to normality.......decent people want answers to the questions that go around in their heads, you can hardly blame them for that....

Being angry at people for failing to care for their child properly hardly makes people indecent doe's it?

If you know anything at all about people facing any kind of injustice in their lives, you will know that anger & questions are a very normal process to go through......

I don't really know, but lets hope it does some good in the mystery of finding this little girl. I mean what is see going through. People seem to be forgetting about her feelings. She wakes up everyday and still no mammy or daddy.

First I've heard of it - are they doing a reconstruction? If they are then it will shed a lot of light on what actually happened, because I don't know what you've heard but I've heard different stories about the about the shutters, the patio door, the gap between checks and whether it was Kate and Gerry or just Kate who discovered Madeleine's bed empty.t
