With all of the dystopia movies currently made, I think your question is at least, very clever. I think it is more likely that the movies are created from the alleged visions of prophets.

No. They prophesied of events and future history, not imaginative fiction that movies portray. Hollywood tends to take Biblical prophecies and make distorted movies out of them, rather than the other way around.

I don;r think so. Because I myself saw many things in the future while in meditation.
I saw 9/11 two years before it happened, but I thought it was impossible.
I saw famines and people dying of hemoragic fevers, and a LOT more.
