The UN is impotent, corrupt and virulently anti-American. The bureaucracy is out of control, over-reaching in scope, under-achieving in success and increasingly criminal.

The government should not throw money at a concept that can not be defined. What is "art"? Is it whatever the "artist" says it is? How many times do we have to read about a "work of art" that offends (oftentimes insults) the faith, patriotism, morals of a significant portion of citizen-taxpayers having been funded by those very taxpayers.

It sets our kids up for failure. Kids with learning disabilities can't pass a lot of these tests (some of the kids I work with can't read and they have to take reading comprehension tests).
Teachers end up teaching for the test (kids at my son's school are studying extra after school to take state test).

well one that just popped into my head was D.A.R.E. remember the anti drug use program aimed and kids.

The only kids who got involved int hat program are the ones who would never do them anyway. I do not believe that that program accomplished anything.

Now Medicare is a huge waste. Not that its intended purpose is bad but its mismanaged and billions and billions are lost and unaccounted for every time they audit it.
