Easiest way I save money is by preparing my food at home.
Here are some meal ideas you can try:
- Sloppy Joes (meat, sauce, bread)
- Tacos (meat, taco shells and seasoning, sour cream, cheese
- Hamburger/Chicken Helper.
- Spaghetti (noodles, sauce)
Add a can of green beans or corn as sides.
I make those meals when I come home from work and I take the left overs to work the next day.
Also a simple sandwich for lunch and bringing a can of coke can save big bucks when compared to eating out.
Put what you would spend on food for a week in an envelop and buy those suggested meal ideas for the week. Whatever you have left over is your savings for the week. I think you'll be surprised.

Set up a savings account alongside your checking account at your bank. Every month, transfer (automatically, if possible) a set amount to the savings account. If you do it right, you won't notice it until your savings account starts really growing.
A few other options to getting more money into your account:
1. Eat less out at restaurants and more at home
2. Drive your car less, ride the bus more (it sounds dorky, but it can save wear-and-tear on your car and gas money...especially with current gas prices)
3. Buy only things you actually need. An old friend told me the following rule to live by "Determine what you need and what you want. Things you need are items that you need to live and go about living life normally. Things you want are fancier versions of what you need, but cost a lot more". I NEED a shirt. I want a nice brand shirt. The difference between a normal shirt and one that is branded can be huge. Add up those Need and Want costs and you'll have more than enough money to save every month!

Open a retirement account, if one is available to you. A 401(k) or an IRA would be good. If you can't open a retirement account, then open a bank or credit union account separate from your checking account. Have money from your pay check automatically paid into the retirement or other account. Automating the process of saving will make things much easier. See the webpages listed below for more information.

Write out your budget per check (paycheck), put at least $5 in savings each month or each paycheck. Also, another way to save money, in your purchases, do you buy a cup of coffee or latte every day? How many per day/week? Can you cut down somewhere on something?
Hope this helps you. Take care.

Fix an amount you want to save every month. Open a recurring account for that amount with bank. This amount should be directly deducted from your savings account with the bank so that your will save compulsorily. Another advantage is that you will get better interest on reccurring deposit.

Committ yourself to a regular saving scheme or a mutual fund and set a realistic amount, something you would be able to spare from your expenditure without too much trouble.I follow this strategy and over years it has helped me build up considerable savings.Because I am committed to writing out that cheque per month,I feel can not wriggle out of saving by making lame excuses or spending on useless stuff.

1. Earn more and keep your expenses at the current level
2. Cut down your expenses
These are the only two basic ways you can save money.

U must plan, make a budget and be disciplined and not buy non-essentials, however tempting it may be.
The budget should be such that u spend less and save more, every month.
