No, not at all...But what if the past isn't forgiven?

No, it does not need to be brought up again. The problem is that often times we forgive but do not forget. It is stored in your memory and will surface from time to time. It is difficult to erase your memories. There are many painful memories that we would like to erase from our mind but it is impossible. People cannot help it and the past will come up again and again. It is possible that whenever it surfaces then you can make conscious efforts to suppress it and not talk about it.

I said that the forgiven past does not need to be brought up again but in reality it will come up many times for as long as you live and only with conscious efforts you can try to suppress it. So people might talk about it even though they forgave. It is not in their hands totally not to talk about it. I hope that you understand.

If a "forgiven" past is brought up again
I have found it is only to hurt
and not truly forgiven

No. Once it's forgiven it is in the past and doesn't need further discussion.

If someone can't "forget", they haven't really forgiven.

if the past is truly forgiven, then it shouldn't matter if it is brought up again... because it won't hurt anyone anymore (:

I never bring up the past back. I'm the type of person who never dwells on it, because regrets or resentments only shadow the present. the past it's the only tense that cannot be changed... it is a datum, stuck, limited... Instead of doing that, I prefer to change my present and my future... thus gaining trust in my own powers

Nothing good if you dig up the past once more. Just learn from all the mistakes and move on in life. lt's a short life we live in so let's give it our best shot.

The past is the past. we cannot change what has already happened, but we can strive to not make the same mistakes twice in the present.

There's no such thing as "truly forgiven".
All we can do is learn to live with it.

Billy never forgives or forgets certain transgressions, therefore they are fair game to be brought up again, and again and again and again
