I saw this gypsy the other day. She had this little baby in her hand. She looked pretty rough. I didn't want to fall for it so i just gave her a ten pence coin, not a lot but that's the most cash i had on me that day. But then she demanded for way more. It kind of made me think, 'what's she playing at?'. I don't have anything against giving money but i just didn't trust it and i didn't have any at that time. I think it's right giving people money but i just.. Something inside me told me not to.. So i gave her a little more and i walked off. It scared me. I felt as if i got robbed or something for change. I was just walking from my own business.

When someone is just there and you can tell they need money I will probley give them a few dollars but when they come to my door before I get out I won't, it's creepy to do that to a women when she is by herself. Also te annoing kids that say there selling stuf for school and you know there not. I've had like 5 of them knocking on my car window at the store. And you could tell they just bought the candy in the store and where trying to sell it.
But homeless people that need a little help typically get at least a few $ out of me. We all need help sometimes.

This guy at LAX ran up to me and said he was ten dollars short of buying a ticket for his wife... I was a sucker and fell for it and gave him $5. As he was walking away I realized it was most likely a scam, and then about 5-10 minutes later and automated voice came on the loud speaker saying not to give money to solicitors.... guess it happens a lot. Oops...

I usually offer to buy them some food. I don't give cash to beggars, simply because I have no clue what they're going to spend it on. I'm all for helping homeless people that are down on their luck, but I'm not all for supporting a bum's drinking habit.

I say
I dont have
but in my country (Mexico) we dont have that many people asking for money on the streets, you could go several days without seeing someone, and when you do, they are always at the stop light.

When I see homeless people with a dog and a sign saying "Money for food for dog" I buy a couple of cans of dog food and give it to them. Or if they ask for money for food for themselves, I will buy them a sandwhich and a coffee. I will not give them money so they can buy booze or drugs. For the people that want money for breast cancer and stuff, I sometimes donate but find myself thinking where the money actually goes? Don't you? My mother doesn't ask for money she does steals it.

I hate that its really creepy, all you are thinking is 'leave me alone and get a job' and than you try to hurry to get to your location so that they wont bug you anymore. I think that it should be made illegal and laws should be more strict about it.

l shake my head and say sorry.
l used to give to people like that but l realized it's better to give to legitimate charities. l would know where they'll spent the money l give them.

It's ok with me. I always have spare change. Better than stealing from you, right?
