1. Lower the outlandish ticket prices so more people could see games in person.
2. Put more games on primetime network tv instead of cable.
The NBA is getting too elitist.

hmm, not sure how to fix this in one season, but basketball has the fewest teams dominating championships over long periods of time, as opposed to baseball and football. Over the past 20 years, it's been something like Lakers/Celtics/Bulls/Pistons/San Antonio for the most part. I think Houston got 2 in there somewhere, and Miami got 1. That's what was so fun about last year's playoffs was everyone was thinking Spurs/Pistons again in the finals, but it turned out to be Dallas/Miami. With only 5-6 franchises dominating the league for so long (in terms of going all the way and getting the ring), it gets too predictable. Wouldn't it be more fun if 10-15 teams could legitimately have a shot at the title?

There's many of ways:

> More fair calls from the referees.

> More trades and offseason moves would make nba fans interested on what's going to happen and how it will work out.

> The deep draft this offseason is a good thing and will play a factor.

> The Kobe issue will add spice.

> If Lebron is going to win the championship this year, then it would be a start of something new to the NBA that would refresh the fan's enthusiasm for the game.

>More all-star game gimmicks! Gives the fans something new to watch in the special event of basketball!

> More good-looking cheerleaders, I suppose.

> Get Mark Cuban and David Stern to play. Everybody would love to see them play and look silly on the court!

Firing David Stern would be a great start. And stopping rule changes that are obviously hurting the game. Oh, and maybe not decide to change the ball without actually asking anybody??

I like the idea of changing the All Star Weekend a little bit. How about a 3 on 3 tournament instead of the crap no one watches (skills challenge, old timers and WNBA shootout)? And how about making the dunk contest prize 75,000$ so that stars like LeBron would join?

1. Bring back the old school tighty-whitie shorts.

2. Hold on all white versus all black all-star game.

3. Take a charge against the Diesel at a nationally televised game.

4. Hold an exhibition game between the jailblazers and the all-star inmate team.

5. Awards points for players, who steal the ball from Kobe-- including his teamates.

Rigged all the playoffs next season so it'll be either

Lakers vs Cavs (Kobe vs LeBron)
Jazz vs Cavs (Boozer vs the Cavs)
Lakers vs Heat (Kobe vs Wade and Shaq)
Rockets vs Heat (Yao and T-Mac vs Shaq and Wade)
Suns vs Raptors (offensive style basketball)

Cavs in the championship is a start. If Lebron wins it, that'll be even better.
