I'm looking for some new bands to listen to. I like Tool, Slayer, Metallica, Disturbed, Seether, Godsmack, Alice in Chains, Drist, Avenged Sevenfold, Rage Against The Machine, Buckcherry, and Slipknot. Please tell me some new bands because I have listened to all of the old stuff.

I have to say Mushroomhead, also, like Mushroomhead fan:
Some songs I like from Savior Sorrow (I have 2 other albums also, but don't have them in front of me, as I listen to them in the car all the time) I like pretty much all of their songs, but these you might have the most luck with finding videos or audio of online:
Simple Survival
Save Us
Erase The Doubt
Just Pretending
The Need
Cut Me
The Fallen

Here's some other songs of their's that you may be able to find video or audio of:
Kill Tomorrow
Solitaire Unraveling
Bwomp

My husband actually turned me onto Mushroomhead: we like a lot of the different bands you list, as well: My husband's favorite band is Tool, We both like Metallica, Rage, and Disturbed, and Alice in Chains.

I can also suggest Spineshank: they are no longer together, but we have the album Worship and Destroy:
Smothered
Beginning of the End
Forgotten Slavery

Hope this helps! Good luck in finding some new bands!

Oh yeah , I also like StaticX and Deftones! (I have a lot of bands that are favorites, including some older stuff like Led Zepplin, but Mushroomhead is my favorite.)

I have listened to soooo many rock groups and i find that the good ones stay in my 6 disk changer until i find a good replacement... in my cd player is...
atraeu, tool, system of a down, a home made greatest hits of perfect circle, also my own greatest hits of nirvana, and another system of a down
if you don't listen to system, you should... all of their Cd's are really great... you never need to skip a song. I also love perfect circle. and the new atreau CD really surprised me... lots of good songs, and some mixed hard/soft singing. Nirvana is having a come back with me these days...not sure why. guess i appreciate music more than i used to.
The ones you listed are good too...try getting on their websites and reading their bios to see what they listen to, or what they like. that might help...i do that to when i need a change. If it inspires the great bands it might be worth listening to.
Hope I helped! :)

Mushroomhead! Who DID NOT copy slipknot. every slipknot fan i know gets that all backwards! Mushroomhead Formed in 1993, Slipknot formed in 1995, but didnt get that big until '98. so how could Mushroomhead have copied slipknot? but definatly look into Mushroomhead, musically, i think they are better than slipknot. w/ slipknot alot of the songs sound the same, do you agree? w/ Mushroomhead, they have all kinds of unique songs. the have a rap/metal song, death metal songs, unique techno metal like songs, and your regular metal songs. and live, they are way better than slipknot. im not saying this because of the rivals between the two bands, im being completely honest here. ive actually gotten alot of slipknot fans into Mushroomhead, so what does that tell ya?

like frances said, check out those songs, and these!
*Solitare/Unraveling
*Before I Die
*Damage Done
*These Filthy Hands
*43
*The New Cult King
*Born of Dessire
*Xeroxed
*Eternal
*Crazy
*Destroy the World Around Me
*Becoming Cold
*Almost Gone
*Ego Trip
*Big Brother
*Second Thoughts

also check out the Death Metal band Job For A Cowboy!
they have a cool song called Entombment of a Machine!

Stone Sour, Flyleaf, Drowning Pool, Lamb Of God, Red (pretty cool stuff. breathe into me is a song of theirs), Stygian is an unknown band but cool, Puddle of Mudd. I can't think of any more right now. Listen to http://www.989therock.com/ and maybe you'll find others.

I also have a Tool group at http://launch.groups.yahoo.com/group/toolfansunited/ They never get old!
