I am 25 now! 3 years back I liked this girl whome I expressed my feelings and later a lot of changes took place in my life. I lost a lot of weight ( as I dieted and exercised). Later frequently sent text messeges to her which I still do. Write a lot of emails and send gifts. I get depressed & experience fluctuations in thoughts and moods because she isnt replying to my messeges or mails. She is constatly in my mind always. I just want to get rid of this thing from me so that I can lead a normal life. What should I do?
Do I have a psychiatric problem?

I experience this severly mostly early in the morning after waking up. and it stays in the mind through the day and night.
Always went through a very severe depressive state in the beginning for 6 months and have now overcome that battle. Its better now but I am scared I might end up in that previous mental state again. Please help me.

Please see a professional therapist.
It sounds like with the weight issues, you may have replaced your obsession with food with an obsession with this woman.
Take care and get help.
Good luck

You have taken a good step by asking people for their opinions. It sounds to me that you could use the advice of a professional. Why not go to a family counselor or psychiatrist? It seems clear that you are miserable and want to get some relief from this constant obsession. I am sure there are some ways of helping you through this difficult time and professional help is the best way to go.

If you don't know who to call, ask your regular doctor or ask an adult that you trust. If that is not possible, go to an urgent care center and ask a doctor there for advice. Don't give up until you get some relief. Life can be wonderful when you overcome pain and frustration. Believe me, you are not alone. You are just being a normal human being.

Best of luck!!!

You need to move on. If the girl hasn't written back- she either is ignoring you, got her phone number changed, is involved with someone, or is creeped out by your behavior.

Put your energy into finding someone else- who would appreciate your fanaticism :)
