Who are the Nazis who decided to make an example out of her out of some self-righteous posturing which is really cowardice and hatred of a woman who lives like a man?

She should face the same penalties everyone else does. She's nothing special and facing jail time is the only thing that will make her shape up because a fine is no big deal when money is no object.

Why the heck do people defend her like crazy when she clearly broke the law? Paris Hilton doesn't give a care about you and for sure wouldn't do the same for you if you were facing prison time. Stop being a tool. Thanks.

Do you seriously think they are picking on her because she is a liberated woman? Seriously?

I am not a cruel person and do not like to see anyone suffer. However, she needs to face the same sentence as anyone else. If she is suffering psychological problems, she should receive care, but that is available without leaving the jail. Other inmates would not be allowed to go home and see their own doctors.

She had no respect for the law whatsoever and thought she'd buy her way out if she blew off probation. You can't reward someone for that.

I sincerely hope she is not psychologically harmed by this ordeal, but that she learns a lot from it and matures. Her parents have done her a disservice by raising her to be a celebrity nothing. She does what she does because she has always been able to get away with it.

Maybe it's just hatred of how annoying, purile and mindnumbingly stupid Paris Hilton is?

Or perhaps it's just because you live in a society governed by laws and that Paris, crazy drug addicted whore that she is, broke those laws and in doing so put other people's lives at risk. Not happy with that she went on to break the conditions she was sentenced to when her license was originally suspended, therefore showing blatant disregard for the entire legal system. I think she should definitely be in prison for that, what gives her the right to risk other people's lives on the road?

Who knows, maybe she'll take the best out of it anyway and make a video of her sapphic jailhouse romps with other inmates to plaster all over TV, mobile phones and the internet.

I am happy to see Paris Hilton in jail. If she would have been a regular middle class person whose father was a masonry contractor or salesman, she would have been dealt with more severely. The rich should not be above the law. There should be equal justice for all. Rich people should not get a "free pass".

You're kidding right? Ok.. let's just let her do whatever she wants and be above the law. Sooner or later, everyone will want the same treatment as what she got. Personally, I'm glad they made an example of her. What did she do to deserve all of this attention anyway? So what if she's the daughter of a rich man?

She's a spoiled little brat, and it's about time someone made her take responsibility for her actions.

In the state of Idaho driving on a suspended license is a mandatory 2 days in jail for your first offence. A few years ago, a third offence was a felony.
But isnt she actually in trouble for a Probation Violation. Driving broke the terms of her probation, you cant break their regulations!

She should do time, she should do time the same as poor people, because she feels above the law. I have money no one can touch me! 10 years are so would have taught her a lesson, in regular segregation no special treatment for bad police, actors or celebrities, or white collar crimes like Martha, or Akon etc.

Why shouldn't she have to serve the same sentence as anyone in the state. They didn't make up the sentence just for Paris.
Most of her behavior is criminal and appalling anyway. She should go to jail to learn she can't get away with everything.

If i am reading your question correctly, then I think it is perfectly fair for her to be in jail. If anyone single one of us was caught driving on a suspended license then we would have to spend some time in jail. She is being treated like any of us "non-famous" people would be.
