Many of our thoughts are translated into action. Our words make friends and foes. Our deeds make things worse or better. They all are interrelated and have an effect on others and our surroundings.

Every word, deed and thought is an expression of your attitude, and to a great extent, intentions: it's the collective attitude and intention, of groups of people that decides the quality of society, of surroundings: therefore, every thought, word and deed produces influences on surroundings. On another plane, thought energies, word energies (suggestion forces), and deed energies (consequences), transmit ethereal energy components, making up the energies in surroundings (example: a calm and quiet around prayer places like temples, churches and mosques and so forth; a solemn air about hospitals: unique quality of grave atmosphere: an awe around schools, campuses (and cheer!) etc.)
Take it up from there, and you will find more explanations for the influences, in other planes, too!

Most profound.
This takes in the considerations, realities not evident, the eyes and perceptions of a finer capacity with which we are all endowed but seldom see.
Thoughts are things, like trees and houses. And an intent and intention is as solid as a deed, invisible to common sight, often overlooked by means of common understanding, and which to others are the same as acts; and all of which do carry the reflective undertows and eddies and echoes and the very signatures and frequencies of the one who projects the thought, word, and deed; fitted with their own magnetic qualities and forces that attract like and unlike forces, subtle or gross, to the environs all around, above, beneath, and lateral to us.
And each has its quality, its resonance and dissonance and does stimulate the diversities which underlie the dynamics of life as we know it, and which influence everything seen and unseen; and for which the absences of their evidence are not evidence of their absences, and to which we all respond surfaceously knowingly or not or subtly consciously or not, which in final underpin our entire surroundings indeed.

The thoughts we have, make up our mentality.
The words we speak, show everyone our character and the others behave with us accordingly.
The deeds we do, either make people like us or hate us.
These things do affect our suurroundings.
We behave according to our mentality, good behaviour attracts people and bad behaviour shews people away.
Good words show people that we have a good character.
Good deeds produce a feeling in people that they should stay with us.
Hence,
good thoughts, mentality and words make the surroundings happy and vice-versa.

Philosophy's too cumbersome for this, because you have to explain how a thought inside of me has to affect my surroundings, even if I give it neither word nor deed. You might even have to drag in relational ontologies.
Physics is much easier for this: Every thought, word, and deed changes my quantum state, which in turn changes the quantum state of the place where I am. Done, more or less.

Alot of our thoughts (which by the way is where our words and deeds come from), words and deeds affect people, they make people laugh, cry, and scream with joy of excitement, or from downright fear. We are powerful people, it's amazing how we affect people. Look at how we've been talked into smoking, just as easy as getting someone to eating apple pie. We can walk into a joyous occasion spitting mad and turn everyone solemn and uncomfortable. We create wars and make sweet amazing love. Our impact on our surroundings is incredible.

At any given moment of time every human being is the sum total of all ones thoughts. This saying is confirmed in the fact that apart from the power of discrimination, human beings become equivalent of animals! It is the power of discrimination bestowed on mankind that differentiates it from animals... The thinking prowess... that makes a Mahavira, Gautama Buddha, Jesus Christ and Prophet Mohammed out of a commoner!
If we break down the complete structure of human beings into the basic building block of the Cosmos... we find it all to be gaseous matter... a cluster of atoms and molecules. Only when perceived from the senses point of view... we find an accumulated mass... a hard formation! In the cosmic domain... human beings are but a form of life... nothing more!
It is a different matter that the form of a human being is the highest manifest stage in the cosmic life cycle. It is only as a human being one gains enlightenment (kaivalya jnana) and finally salvation (moksha). Neither from heaven or hell can the soul atman directly go to the kingdom of God (aka Baikuntha in Hinduism). Every soul atman from heaven and hell again manifests a body on Mother Earth before it liberates forever from the cycle of birth and death.
What differentiates a laborer from a king... their thinking capacities! Yes, nothing else but the thinking prowess separates the two. One is a daily wager and the other mastering the lives of millions of people. It is the thinking of people that affects the society, our religion, the way we live... in fact, whole planet Mother Earth! A single wrong step of the president (that initially was a thought) can cause doom for a nation!
Before we enact... every karma... action has its beginning in a thought! As we think... so are we! People with godly nature invoke serene thoughts... Those indulging in wanton desires and materialistic riches only negative thoughts! It is our thinking that mar or makes a man! There is nothing more powerful in the whole Cosmos than thoughts. 1st of all, it's false.
If I'm sitting on the train alone for 3 hours thinking of killing puppies one day and the next day I sit and think of flowers, it will have not one tiny bit of difference in the behavior of those around me on the train.
As for words and deeds, sure they can affect my surroundings by affecting other people or even pets. But not every single word.
It's basically common sense, if you are pleasant, in general, people will be pleasant to you. Not always, but in general. It's not that complicated really.
I've seen very sweet, kind, pretty girls get attacked by and hated by classmates simply for being attractive and kind. Their thoughts and deeds didn't help them much.

I assume you are asking as an individual and not speaking of generalities.
I feel that honesty, compassion, courage and integrity are top on my list. I would like to add, ethics and act in a manner that I respect myself. If I can respect myself then others will respect me. If we do what we have to do and do it to the best of our ability and be all that we can be . . . that's all that we can ask of our self.
We all look at ourselves in the mirror every day, it's important that we like the person that we see.
I love a challenge. I set goals. I set realistic goals and long term goals. I have them written down in 2 columns. I feel a great deal of gratification each time I reach a goal and cross it off my list. I live on self satisfaction. I have a Strong need to satisfy my self.
If we can follow the example of someone we love or admire, we can then set an example for our loved ones, friends and associates.
We are therefore producing good influences for all to follow, with in our reach.
If we do our best, then no one can expect anymore from us.
I hope I understood your question and gave one of the answers you are looking for.
Have a good week.
