I have been told that Yahoo is one of the safest ways to receive Emails. My computer vendor however has now told me the opposite. What do I believe?

Yahoo, Hotmail, gmail all have spam filters.

The safest is to use Outlook and a good antivirus program that scans incoming and outgoing mails. Microsoft updates the junk mail filters of Outlook on a monthly basis.

But if you click on a link in an email and download a program, the email program will not be of much protection. So keep your antivirus/firewall and operating system up-to-date and use common sense when browsing and downloading.

Us 2
Yahoo for general use such as registrations for filling in where they want your e mail address
and outlook for your close friends only
and get in the habit of not opening any E Mail that have attachments or are from unkowns.

Yahoo is about the best I've used (9 years +).

BUT, you still have to run a good Anti-Virus (I use AVG) on your PC.

TIP: Never open an attachment until you have scanned it yourself on your own PC.
