Last I heard, jail is jail. Not a nice room with no roommate and separated from the rest of the inmates.

Oh, come on, why doesn't everyone just give poor Paris a break? I actually think she's sweet! She is not all arrogant and mean-spirited like so many of the other Hollywood "bad girls", including her pal, Nicole Richie, who can REALLY be a snooty little b*tch! People are too rough on Paris - they hate her for being young, rich, and pretty - and having a little fun with it. She didn't ASK to be dealt that hand in life, she just was. It's just not FAIR for her to be universally hated for it!

Jail is still jail, no matter how you look at it. Her room is NOT nice, and she just might be wishing she DID have a roommate to talk to, if it was someone halfass decent! As we all know, jails (especially large inner-city ones) can house some pretty rough characters. Yes, Paris made some irresponsible mistakes. And it's going to cost her several weeks of her freedom. But the girl is NOT a criminal! So do we all really need to be so sadistic as to insist she share her crummy little cell with some psycho felon?!

Please, let the punishment fit the crime here. 23 hours a day in isolation to think over her bad choices, for the next 3 weeks, sounds reasonable enough to me.

The whole point is to justify that people who are rich will always get "special treatment" compared to regular people. Paris Hilton going to jail is not even considered jail anyway. Last I heard, jail was suppose to be the most miserable place you can go, but in this case, it's nothing but a waiting room where she will get more money when she is released.

It is really about time that a "rich" celebrity gets behind bars for the laws they break. We live in America where all must follow the terms of the laws out there and when you break them, take the consecuences. It shouldn't matter that she has celebrity status and I think it is ridicilous that her mom called the prosectutor pathetic. What is pathetic is how all the rich snobs think they live above the law. She knew what she was doing the entire time and the entire time she was probably thinking how she doesn't have to worry about getting into any trouble because remember people, she is Paris Hilton... 45 days in jail, PRICELESS!!!

On E News, the interviewed the man at the jail, and he said she has a room just like everyone else. I agree it's not fair that she doesn't have roommates, but she still has all of the other downsides of jail. Orange jumpsuit, locked in the cell all day except for one hour where you can go watch tv or use the phone, and no blackberries.

she'll be on an isolation ward and spend her time with crazy people and snitches who can't be in general population. I know a kid who petitioned to get out of that ward and into general population cause they had basketball. He was there cause he was just new no reason i don't think. I'm not sure of the exact criteria to determine at risk people and celebrities certainly fit that category. Like i said guy i knew wanted out of that wing. It's one dayroom surrounded by small rooms or cells, tv board games and a handful other people with a gaurd. In general population you have more games, different people, and everyone there is trusted, if they screw up they go back to the little group with close supervision. Otherwise they can go to the library and wander the designated areas even get a job.

jail is tough for anybody. But some not clear on the concept. Special treatment is for her own protection, to separate her from rowdy or even violent inmates. If you see Video "Map of the World" -- OK extreme example -- what Sigourney Weaver character goes through. Celebrities -- & I not a fan of hers at all, don't know what the fuss is about! -- are more likely to be hassled by jailbirds, asking for favours [contacts on "the outside"...] compared to some unknown schmuck (schmuckette?). my 2-cents worth.

IF they don't send her then that would cause more problems, a lot of people would start protesting and things like that because they probably feel that she is getting off because she is rich(and other reasons too.) . So since they don't want that type of attention they are justing going to send her to jail VIP style.......

2007-06-04 18:30:26 · answer #9 · answered by Anonymous · 0 0

they seperated her because
some women that that were released from jail that day said that all the inmates in there want to beat her up.

i just know that paris deserves to see what it's like in prison even if it is the most diluted example

Celebrity jail is differant. I agree - why bother, Ban her license instead. Then throw her in real jail for a night.
