And we have 5 desktops on our HP computer. One of the desktops was on when I installed it and that seems to be the only desktop it will work at. Help, I want to use it with all my desktops...ofcouse this could all be my imagination. Just some temporary glitch.

I'm not sure what "we have 5 desktops on our HP computer" means. If it means you have 5 User accounts showing up on the Windows Login screen, then:

Enable File and Printer sharing. In Help and Support, type "Printer Sharing" in the search box without quotes.

OR

Install the Printer drivers for each user. Windows is smart enough to enable the printer for each user without installing 5 versions of the printer software.

You will need to share the printer out on to your network. You will also need to have the printers drivers installed on each PC you want to print from.

If all PCs are connected with LAN connectivity then you can do it easily by sharing the printer. if it is not in lan then you have to copy that file and do the printing or you need to shift printer every time

The easiest way would be if you have or get a network card for the printer and then access it from all the connected computers. ~
