Whenever someone asks me "am I happy?" or if I am asking myself, I feel as though I am unhappy and totaly regret asking myself the very question! Because prior to the question I felt happy and conent. Why is this? Or maybe it is just me?

I think it's good to ask yourself this question, it's called introspection, looking within yourself. By doing that you can better evaluate your surroundings and improve on the things that need improvement.

No. You need to ask yourself that question on a regular basis. The feeling of unhappy after you ask that question is because maybe you are. Change it.
