I think that the world does not know that the United States is in fact a good country that helps alleviate many of the world's problems. I think many people see the U.S. as interventionist and wish we would just leave the world alone, but we really try to help wherever we can. We have values and care about other's feelings. I think that is what others don't know about the U.S.

That we aren't all stereotypical "rednecks" with big dodge trucks and a mounted gun rack in back...

Not that being that way is a bad thing but it's inaccurate and unfair to base your entire opinion about a population on one stereotype.
