Where Do Anacondas Live

2016-10-03 23:53:27 · answer #2 · answered by ? 4 · 0 0

The anaconda lives in the jungle in South America, in the Guianas, east of the Andes Mountains, and mainly in the Amazon and Orinoco River regions. They like the wet, dense tropical vegetation. They do well in warm, dark, freshwater swamps. They also like to rest in the sun.

From what I've read, anacondas live in aquatic environments and they can travel on land..Basically anacondas live in water("live" as in sleep in the water and some other things like that) but they don't live("sleep") on land. They only move on land to probably look for food. After they've eaten and all they probably go back inside water(aka "their home").

I don't know exactly where they come from, but I'd guess that there jumping-off point was close to the Amazon rain forest in South America, their current hidaway. Many, however, are kept as pets internationally (and, undoubtedly, illegally).
