okay, I have no idea if I was even bitten, but I believe it was because I remember brushing away a bug near my forehead. I couldn't tell what kind of bug, but I think it was a flying bug or a spider hanging from a web. It was a golden/yellow color. anyways... there is a hard lump on my forehead now. doesn't really protrude out, but the hardness and consistency feels like a mosquito bite. It is only slightly red(i think b/c of the rubbing I did on it). It doesn't hurt or feel itchy at all. If it was a major bite like from a spider, do you think it would atleast hurt?

sounds like your typical mosquito or other non-harmless bug bite.
if it had been a poisonous spider-you would have had serious side effects within hours.
things to watch for that indicate infection and need medical treatment immediately are
-the bite starts to swell,becomes increasingly red, is painful,tender, or hot to the touch
-you begin to run a fever of 100.5 or higher
-the bite begins to drain liquid of any kind
for now-you can apply benadryl or hydrocortisone cream to the bite to relieve any itching.

Just keep an eye on it and make sure it doesn't get worse. Look for red lines eminating from it. If it continues to grow or you see the red lines spreading from it (otherwise known as toxic stridation) you should go see a doctor right away. Otherwise, like a mosquito bite it should clear up in a few days.

IF YOU ARE NOT SUFFERING ANY SIGNS SUCH AS NAUSEA, LIGHT HEADEDNESS, WEAK OR SHAKEY, YOU WERE NOT BITTEN BY ANYTHING TOO SERIOUS, HOPEFULLY!
IF IT WERE A SPIDER, THERE WILL BE TWO SMALL HOLES WHERE YOU WERE BITTEN. SOMETIMES THIS IS NOT CLEAR UNTIL A DAY OR TWO LATER!

Don't worry about it. Most insect bites aren't harmful as much as irritating. Harmful bites are usually due to an allergic reaction.
Yellow insects that sting are bees, hornets, and similar creatures. I can assure you that you would feel it right away.

If it doesn't hurt, there's no major swelling or redness and you aren't even sure you got bitten-I'd say why worry. If it starts to swell or hurt, be concerned then.
