I have a package of printable t-shirt transfers but no printer. i was wondering if I just drew on one with a permanent marker, then ironed it on, would it work? It makes sense to me but I was wondering if anyone has tried it...

If you are using a permanent marker I would just draw directly on the shirt. Take a piece of cardboard and slide it inside the shirt so it doesn't go through to the other side. If you have any type of temporary adhesive put that on the cardboard first so the shirt doesn't move and stays flat. If you are determined to see if it works just cut off a small piece of transfer paper and try applying it to a cotton rag or old t-shirt.

I agree with Sketch--try it out on an old t-shirt first and see. I think with woodburning, a similar technique can be used to transfer designs to wood, so this might just work.
