Um, the fact that we eat our food with the equivalent of toilet cleaner??? I'd list that as one of the problems.

Some of the preservatives have been found to potentially carcinogenic to test animals in controlled tests, particularly nitrites. Salt can lead to hypertension.

they build up in your body, the more gunk (preservatives and such) that builds up in your body the less capable it becomes of absorbing the nutrients your cells need in order to function properly, causing disease and premature aging, not to mention the negative effects chemicals have on our environment
