If you mean "seeing the light" then no. But I was in an accident that landed me in a coma for a few days with a skull fracture. As for observing, I saw my father "see the light" before he died. You can tell.

apparently some of you never had a childhood or grew up in a very diferrent neighborhood than me. I came close to drowning twice, I have been hit by 3 cars (twice on foot and once on a horse), been on fire from head to toe once, I have been shot at twice, I have fallen from 25 feet (broke my arm on that one). 3 car accidents. Been hit electomagnetic pulse from lightning 10 ft. away while standing in water. The list could go on and on so I will stop. The odd thing is I rarely get hurt *knock on wood*. It is usually just freak accidents.
Anyway probably the funniest story to tell is this one: We were all around 12. I was riding bikes with the neighborhood gang of kids and we were passing a house owned by some real rednecks and all at once CRACK and a bullet fly inches away from my face. honestly, I would have guessed you would not be able to see a bullet going by but you can. you can hear it cutting the air too.
anyway we go get a look at these guys and they are getting drunk and taking turns shooting a rifle at a shed blindfolded.(toward the road)

I never almost died so "no" is the answer but I did have and out of body experience which I saw myself lift up from my body went down through a dark tunnel at the speed of light and ended up in a lower plane and I was told some bad news than found myself back in my body. well anyways it's a long story.

Yes. Two surgeries on my spine. Both times I stopped breathing and woke up on a ventilator.
I'm sorry, there were no bright lights or out of body experiences. I just woke up in ICU not knowing what happened.

Fortunately not, but they are fascinating to read about: people at a point with no recordable brain-wave activity, being witness out-of-body to surgical procedures taking place on them, and being able to recall dialog and instruments from the surgery, etc.
It's fascinating stuff.
