The lack of or death of love. With out it joy is gone. Things of value, your family, friends, music, art and the simple things cease to have meaning. The reason the world is going south is not because of hate, which is a symptom of the lack of love, compassion that warm fuzzy feeling: in it's place is an empty void.

There are also chemicals in the body that love supplies that gives you a positive out look on life, which leads to a better life.

Love dose indeed make the world go round.
