If you really are up to something inexpensive but highly effective, try this then: 1-2 medium size garlic glove, minced and drink it with 6-8 oz of water; and simultaneously take 1-2 tabs. of Magnesium 300-400 mg.
You can repeat this twice a day!
I am telling you this will take your blood pressure down in matter of hours.
Good luck! :)

Generic Lisinopril beta blocker. Consult with doctor for dosage, mostly 10-5mg. Also need strict diet control of any forms of caffein, salt, spicy, liquor, fats, cholesterols, weight, and few short fast walks a day that they will help save more pills.
In fact, a gram of nitroglycerin ointment over chest skin can satisfy dropping BP with only $1 per month. However, beta blocker is better, not only lower BP but also eliminate toxins produced by body that these drugs may help avoid heart events and kidney complications.

There are lots of generics available that would be capable in terms of lowering your blood pressure. More than likely you need more than one medication to get your pressure to goal. Although you may find a cheaper "one," more than likely you are going to need to take two generics, or possibly one brand name "combo" pill to get your BP lower than the 130/80 that it needs to be! Remember, you may pay now for BP meds, but it will save you money in the long run...especially when you look at the cost of hospitalizations, doctors visits for heart problems, etc. because you didn't keep your BP under control!

There are many causes to high blood pressure. Are you exercising 3x/wk? Are you eating a low sodium diet? Are you making sure to laugh every day & turning stress into relief? Are you drinking enough water & eating high-potassium foods? Have you tried meditation? Are you getting enough sleep? Garlic is great, yes, but if you also have organ failure or are prone to bleeding, it can cause a serious problem. Your dr is only legally able to prescribe drugs & run tests (and you should have your heart checked for damage). YOU are responsible for healing you... All the best...

You can find a certified acupuncturist in your local area by going to the NCCAOM website - http://www.nccaom.org/find.htm

You could try hawthorn tablets. They are a lot cheaper than coenzyme Q10 capsules.
