It seems to me that Oprah's money has isolated her from ordinary folk. Her shows all seem to center on what wonderful things she does for others.
Her legendary ladies show seemed to be honoring Oprah for Honoring the ledgendary ladies of our time.
The best gifts are given anonymously. I think this should be her last season and then can then better help her causes.
I admire her accomplishments greatly. There world would be much worse off had there been no Oprah.
I just don't want her alienate folks and may cause harm to her true mission

Truthfully, I really miss the Old Oprah..the way that she was in the very beginning..I was thinking about this today, even before I ever saw your question!
I think though, that she is basically pretty much the same old person...just keeps learnin' more stuff,as she grows older...that is what happens to most of us,...she is whom she is!
She isn't a bad person...she has given a lot of her time and money for GOOD causes...which is a truly good thing...(mind you, she does NOT have to...but she does! The question here is WOULD all of us, do the same?)!!

Oprah helps thousands of people. Who cares if she gets the credit as long as she does it. She uses her own money for a lot of stuff not the shows. She built schools in Africa for kids, she puts people Through college, helps them rebuild their homes, and is very generous. Yes, the best gifts are anonymous, but when she gives stuff, she doesn't go around telling people, they just know it cause of who she is. She doesn't brag about it. There are lots of people who have millions like her who do nothing to help less fortunate people. She should be commended in my opinion. How can anyone criticize someone who does so much for others, she is self less.

Hmm, dont forget that her show is also her means of livelihood, and it means her money making business.

Most of us working stiffs never get the chance to watch any of her shows so it is somewhat a surprise to hear that she has enemies? non fans? I know by word of mouth and coffee discussions that she runs a well respected show.

There are so many shows on the planet. Really, all you need to do is change the channel to find what you like. She will notice if her ratings drop so this is the only way to let her know. Check her ratings, it looks like its keeps on growing so maybe the majority of people like her show this way?

OPRAH!
You are correct!
Sometimes she is hard to take!
She has made it!
She is the richest woman in the world!
What a responsibility!
She is sharing some of her energy and her wealth!
Sometimes she gets off on some ridiculous theme.
I just switch the dial!
We are difinitely better off with her on the planet!

alwayscurious......said it perfect! I totally agree 100%. I admire Oprah a great deal, from where she came form to where she brought herself and the fact that she uses her own money to help so many people..is wonderful.

I couldn't agree with you more. All hail Oprah, queen of look-what-I-did. I used to enjoy watching her, but have turned to Miss Ellen in that same time slot now.

She seems obsessed with herself. I noticed that over 6 years ago. All she does is advertise her donations and what she does. I find it to be embarrassingly pathetic.

She flaunts her money to much. Makes everyone feel that the little giving things that they do are not enough.
