Its a pretty demanding job with a lot of competition. My friend works there full time. It is tough work, long hours, okay pay, but it is really fun and great if you like kids.

Here are the requirements to be a Character Look-alike/Performer:

"Being a Character Performer at the Walt Disney World Resort is more than bringing the Character to life for our Guests, it is having the belief that you truly create the magic. This is a chance to take center stage.

Disney animated Character "look-alikes" have the opportunity to fulfill the dreams of millions of people who are drawn to the magic and mystique of Disney. We are looking for smiling faces to bring to life the heroes and heroines, princes and princesses, from classic Disney animated films. Strong candidates should resemble the Characters in look, height and personality; have a positive attitude and good speaking voice.

Responsibilities may include: signing autographs, posing for photographs, restaurant dining experiences, and having the potential to perform in parade and puppeteer roles."

From another page:
"All applicants must be at least 16 years of age. Interested candidates should contact the Disney Jobline at (407) 828-1000 to schedule an interview. Qualified candidates will be invited to attend an audition. The audition is based on movement and animation ability. Applicants must be prepared to participate in a short movement and an animation exercise. Dance experience is required for some roles. Height ranges are between 4'8" and 6'3" with added consideration to candidates between 4'8" - 5'0". Candidates may be identified for Disney animated Character 'look-alikes' at any audition or attend one of our quarterly open call auditions. Puppeteer auditions are held as needed."

You can also look on the links to see how, where, and when to audition and also for more information on dancers. Good luck!
