I would choose pinnaduwage aravinda de silva ahead of sanath teran jayasuriya!Sanath is a opener who gets the opportunity to wack the ball everywhere freely since there are no fielding restrictions.Aravinda was a middle order batsman and did the job jayawardena and sangakkara now do!Aravinda had every stroke in the book and was an elegant driver and a hooker.I dare to say that he was the worlds best puller and hooker and even today there is no one to match his that abilities!
Any delivery that had the slightest error was pulled out of the ground!
I prefer aravinda

I consider Sanath Jayasuriya as the best as compared to
Aravinda De Silva as Jayasuriya can demoralise any bowling attack in the world on his day and can also be a better bowler than Arvinda.

I think Aravinda de silva is the best.He played all his best innings under pressure. Jayasuriya is also in the same category but in opening there is less pressure than in the middle order.

That is a very good question... They are two very different, very good batsmen. De Silva was more of a finesse type of player who was very good at placing the ball into gaps and rotating the strike, whereas Jayasuriya is an explosive left-hand opener who has the ability to devastate an entire bowling attack single handedly...
Looking at it from an Australian point of view i believe Jayasuriya was probably consistantly better than De Silva so Jayasuriya gets my vote...

one in all those actual wellness and hitting prowess that Jayasuria has shown in the IPL has negated all notions approximately 'age' because of the fact the numerous factor. If he can shelter his wellness point and starvation for scoring, there might desire to be little doubt approximately his inclusion in the Sri Lankan squad for 2011 WC. Sachin is presently ranked 2d in ODIs in line with a stable series in Australia. If he can ward off his injuries he too would be a actuality in the team for yet another 4 years or so. The ambition to realize a golden parent of fifty ODI centuries and criticism (while he underperforms) will save him pushing on. in actuality, gamers like Shane Warne and Mcgrath have proved in IPL that overall performance does not matter on age.

as far as i m concerned i dont think its gud to compare them.... because one is a opener and other one is a middle order batsman.... its difficult to compare and contrast them...
But i would still consider silva is the best... because its difficult to accumulate the reason at the middle order rather than scoring the runs in a blistering pace as a opening batsman...
with the field restrictions in the corner, its easy to score the reason at the beginning but same is not the case with a mid order batsman.. so i would consider silva, a one step ahead of sanath....

Sanath is Left handed Silva,and
Silva is Right handed Sanath in performance, though different in style.
Both great contributors. It is not fair to hold one above or below.
