That's such a large amount of time when compared to the human lifespan. There are so many possible outcomes.
Here are some that I can think of:
1. We destroy ourselves either violently or environmentally
2. We cease to exist peacefully because of declining birth rates and civilizational fatigue.
3. We enter new dark ages either because of religious fanaticism or running out of natural resources for our machines
4. Countinue at present state (not likely)
5. We evolve into some more advanced biological entity
6. We download ourselves electronically achieving eternal life
7. God intervenes
8. We achieve more and more knowledge until we are space-faring and spread out through the galaxy
9. Aliens come and either destroy us or give us technology
As far as some type of life? most definately- 100k years is by far too short a time to interfere with that.

There have been humans like us on Earth for about 150,000 years, so it seems plausible. However it is difficult to understand what human society will be like in 100 years, much less 1000 or 100,000. I am hopeful however. I think and it is likely there will still be humans on Earth and on Mars in 100,000 years as well as on planets revolving around other stars.

This is a great question not on a survival level, but just because it triggers the imagination so much.
Think about it. Only 7,000 years separate us from the dawn of civilization. In that time we've gone from clay tablets to microprocessors. From Mythology to Radio Astronomy.
Think where we will be in more than 10x as long, with our current cultural and learning base to jump off from. It's staggering. I think it's beyond anything we can imagine.
Will we still be around? I think so. I think it's likely that we won't be the smartest creatures around anymore, as our own inventions seem likely to outstrip us in terms of intelligence. But I think we'll still be around in some capacity. It's fun to think about, though.

To be honest Iam not to sure. Like someone said earlier we might destroy or selves before then. On the other hand there could be a huge possibility that we may be around then. We may not hold the title of the smartest beings on earth or in the galaxy anymore but we may be around. Maybe on display for some aliens to observe or something!!! LOL

at the rate we are going today i don't think so. the air will probably be sooo contaminated. the ozone-it wont be here so we would burn up. Most of the fresh or all of the water and other rsourses will be gone. I think earth is on the path to become the worst planet-polution wise- in the solsr system.
we need to reverse this. wwe may not live to see wat happens to this planet but our kids will. Do we want it to be fit for only roaches(cuz they will be the only thing alive)?? i know i dont.

Yes, there should be unless we blow up the place. Of course, going back that period of time, we find that the main human species was the Neanderthal man. Whether some species will pop up to supplant Homo sapiens (aka Cro-Mangon) is another matter.
