Often we forget that life is an adventure. If we continue to do the same things all our life, and experience no struggle or problems we suffer from ennui (the borebom that comes from satiation)
You need to find new things to be interested in, new friends, new adventures. While you are in a meloncholy mood then it seems hard to do this, but happiness is hard work. Keep trying and you will see, and what is more, you will find the old things are also good as well.
PS: The extreme solution is found in fight club....but that is not recommended.

I'm sorry to here that you are plagued with depression--and you have the classic signs of it--I too have depression, but mine is major and have had it for over 6 years. There will be days that the only thing you can do is barely lift your head off your pillow to sip a drink--there are others you may not be able to leave your house, or face other people, or talk on the phone. Basically, it is a TRUE illness and it affects millions of people but most are too ashamed to get treatment--don't be one of them--call your family doctor- explain what's going on--sometimes it is just a temporary situation due to an overload of stressors in your life at a particular time--he will either give you meds and/or refer you to a psychiatrist and maybe a psychologist---both are great people to talk to--there is nothing that haven't seen or heard and they make it very easy to talk to them even when you first meet them--and please believe me, you feel BETTER when you leave their office- like a little cloud opened above your head and there is a tiny ray of sunshine shining on you--like there is hope because there is, with the proper help---good luck to you---and age has nothing to do with it, we live in an overstressed society--if you doubt this just think of the crap you go through just to get to work each day--the hustle--life in the US has become a nightmare of stressors and I hope you are one of the lucky ones that just needs a little help and will get better.........best of luck to you.................I'll be hoping--(I'd say praying, but I gave up on god a long time ago)

perhaps join a club or gym, talk to co-workers, maybe call up an old friend or try to do something new, I mean a new activity you've never done before. You didn't specify exactly why you feel this way or else I would be able to help more.
Take care

Every guy I know went through that in their mid to late 20s. Lay of drugs and booze if you do either (especially pot) and eventually you will become your old self. Its what we call the realization faze. Kind of like you realize your life isn't going to be what you thought it would.
