Civil unrest, no power , no Police,
Looting and Home Invaders. You should
at least be Armed, and at least skilled in
marksmanship. plus be able to either have enough food and supplies or be
able to Fish or Hunt for your Food.

Liberal and not self sufficient. I applied and got a gun license after 9-11, but never bought a gun. I think a shotgun would be good to ward off loooters. Had a friend that lived threw hurricane Andrew, and they looted his house and their was nothing he could do. Sometimes having a gun is good to protect your family. I have a lot of water, but not enough food to get through.

I'm a liberal and I know I'm self sufficient. As a matter of fact, I'm a firefighter and am teaching a community disaster preparedness class. I live in the mountains, about 50 miles from a big city so if we get in trouble, we know we have to depend on ourselves.

i am a Libertarian

i am not self sufficient except for the fact that i have skills and abilities that any group of people would find valuable during any type of civil unrest...

also i live in a very remote area

I am a liberal volunteer firefighter and know my neighbors and my neighborhood pretty well. I know that we can look out for ourselves and each other, and that we know each others' strengths and weaknesses and have each others' backs in a crisis.

There have been many smaller crises than those you mention over the years, and the cohesion and competence keep improving through it all. I don't look forward to those sorts of troubles, but I'm glad I live where I do with the neighbors i have.

Self-sufficient moderate/conservative (I'm still mum on whether I should be a Republican or a Libertarian).

Lets see, I have a lot of survival guide books, boxes of Top Ramen in my cabinet, and I plan on buying a shot gun and gaining a license as soon as I turn 18.

independent.

the reason that i'm an inde is that there is no political movement that even comes close to representing what i am all about.

i disagree with your idea of 'self sufficient.' survival is job one, not protecting my material possessions.

the only people who know for sure that they will win the gun battles that you seem to think are inevitable are those who never need to fire a shot.

also organizing is a critical skill - you want to find those that have the same values as you. me and 40 of my friends unhurriedly strolled out of woodstock '99 while riots raged around us.

how odd, no one wanted to bother a group of 40+ people...

Self sufficient to a point.

Most all are dependent on food chains, jobs and public services for water and sewer.

Should those disappear for awhile, we are prepared.

reasonable No faith in specific. i do no longer have faith in vast prepared faith. i think of they attempt to make human beings experience they are actually not non secular in the event that they do no longer have faith the way they do. in spite of everything it began out with one faith. i do no longer consider the politicization of religion a number of them do or that a number of our legislators do.
