When Saddam was in power over a million people were killed. You ask though how many died daily? That would depend on how mad or crazy Saddam felt when he woke up in the morning! When he first got into power he called a big meeting of all the leaders in the country, then had a hundred or so taken out and shot right then and there! This was his way of making quick work of his rivals! On the day he gased the Kurds thousands died! you could get a daily average by dividing the number of years he was in power by the number killed, a million plus!

It would be hard to calculate just how many people died daily in Iraq. Saddam was in power from 1979 to 2003. During that time, there three decimating wars. There was the Kurd and Shiite uprisings accompanied by Saddam's brutal retribution that left tens of thousands dead.
Saddam had people arrested and executed frequently. After the first gulf war, The UN put sanctions on Iraq. After 1991, it is hard to place the exact number of people who died daily of disease and malnutrition due to the UN policy.

Among the Kurds during the Iran-Iraq War in the 1980s : 50,000 - 100,000

In Dujail after an unsuccesfull assasination attempt in 1982 : 148

Shia rebellion in south (1991-92): 40,000 - 50,000

Shia rebellion in south (1999) : 100

Shia rebellion in south (2000) : 150

That's about 100,00 - 150,000 in 20 years, half of them as a US ally, or about 15 - 20 a day.

when you read up on it, theres two words that keep popping up. that is the us and oil. hussein did nothing different than we would do if there was a threat against our government. who offed jimmy hoffa? who really killed jfk and bobby. you could actually make bush look worse than hussein. you will never know what really happened because our government is full of a bunch of liars. not near as many people died daily over there thats dieing now. the big difference is alot are americans, and for what. those countries have nothing to offer but oil.

He killed about 1.4 million over a 20 year span.

US has killed anywhere from 100k (US estimate) to 600k (UN estimate in 4 years.

To the average Iraqi we are no different.

Both = death.

I don't know but he killed thousands of innocent people, some of them from Kurdistan.

Saddam's "hero" was Josef Stalin, the Georgian-Russian dictator. Go figure.
